Oceano in the fog

We began the last day of our Retirement Trip in the fog in Oceano, CA.

Madonna Inn

We were soon out of the fog and passing the Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo, CA.

Cuesta Grade

Between SLO and Paso Robles is the Cuesta Grade. The Chevy truck we bought with the 6.6 liter turbo-diesel engine made short work of this steep uphill climb.

Oil Wells

North of Paso Robles, near the town of Bradley, was a small oil field complete with wells.

Salinas valley

Soon we were in the Salinas Valley with fields of letture and ...

more vineyards. Everywhere you look are vineyards creating good California wines!

Next was the cutoff for the Monterey Peninsula.

We ran into roadwork resulting in heavy traffic south of San Jose.

Almost home, taking the Thornton Exit into Fremont.

Home!!! With our new Airstream parked in front of our house. We need to register both the truck and the trailer and then find a place to store the Airstream.
