MapHere is our route from Bemidji, MN to Wakefield, MI It was a really beautiful drive; I can see why the upper peninsula of Michigan is such a popular vacation destination.

Rest stop

Minnesota was some really nice rest stops - here is one we visited on another of their many lakes.

Duluth Lake Superior

The bridge from Minnesota to Wisconsin, (which crosses the St. Louis River that empties into Lake Superior).

view from bridge

A view from the bridge.

Curving road

We went across the upper edge of Wisconsin. Such a change from the flat prairies we had been traveling across in the last few days.

White tree trunks

A lot of the trees we passed had white trunks. Anybody know what kind of tree they are?

Small town

We passed through many small picturesque towns along our route.

There is an Ashland in Wisconsin which is located on Chegnamegon Bay off of Lake Superior.

An totem pole/sculpture outside of the Visitor’s Center in Wakefield, MI.

Sunday Lake

The campground we are staying in is located at the shore of Sunday Lake. It is a city run park and is superior to many of the commercial parks we have visited. It's so nice that we decided to stay 2 nights (maybe three).

Van setup

The Roadtrek all setup for relaxing in the sun.

Fixing breakfast

Mark preparing a breakfast of pancakes, honey Ham and fresh peaches. I'm a lucky woman!

Yellow Flowers

Ending with these very attractive yellow flowers.
